{ttt ttt skip says "Sonny used to freak out at garlic 'cos it came in a tube and tasted terrible"... how 60s Aus is that?}

oh pesto! food of the gods! - made a huge batch Saturday, for psta, then used the leftovers for spreading inside some little vegetable tarts (fry onion, eggplant, garlic together, mix with a few chopped cherry tomatoes and some fetta, whack it in a pastry case with pesto, bake until golden

Yummmm. Pesto.

Although basil vodka sounds intriguing too!

Yummo! We love pesto at our house. Is that your own home grown basil?

Wow! To have all that fresh basil right there - delicious! It is hard to buy fresh basil over here (that and rosemary and sage); but I shall not complain because bunches of fresh flat-leaf parsley, coriander, mint is soooooo cheap (roughly 33c for a huge bunch). But I could always do with fresh basil like that. Yum.

Oh yes! Excellent advice. Although we have seriously cut back on pesto consumption due to me not wanting to sweat raw garlic sweat and gross out my tap students.

We have great basil, needs a tad extra water at the moment as it's suddenly hot again. Love Posie
