When our 15 year old food processor finally gave up the ghost a few weeks ago, I would have been happy enough go to Kmart and pick up something that does the job.
This is not how it works around here. If you're going to buy something, buy something good.
After a few goes of this baby I am throughly smitten and convinced it was a good, if costly, purchase.

Noice!
I have also with the wisdom of age come around to the buy-the-quality item thing. The way everyone says "Its just as good/exactly the same" about cheaper goods and food really irritates me now. IT ISN'T people! It never is! ;-)
That looks like hours of fun!
I went ten years without using mine due to husband washing lid in dishwasher and making it warp. I FINALLY bought a new one this year and cannot believe I had lived without one.
A fabulous gadget choice!
I feel the same about my new(ish) one I bought a few months back. It is awesome and simply one cannot live without a Food Processor.
Hee hee, I just randomly clicked on your link over at Meet Me at Mikes - I just chose our Magimix as my secret weapon too! They're great, aren't they?
oooh, such a great choice! i love my food processer too ~ it does so much.
i splashed out and bought kitchenaid when with that same theory in mind ~ buy quality, buy it once!
I want one, too! My old one is on its last legs...
Yup, I picked up a whizz bang food processor a few months back and I just lurv it. Who knew grating carrots could be so much fun ?
I have a hand held whizzer, but you all sound so pleased with your machines, maybe I should think of the after christmas sales!
And yes, we decided the same; buy few, but buy good!
