eye spy... my favourite corner of the house

Well, it's not really a corner, but the decorative ceilings in the old part of our house are probably my favourite part.

One of the previous owners of this house obviously had a thing for chandeliers, judging by the number we have. Even the boys have one in their bedroom.

When we first moved in I was all for getting rid of them, but I have grown to love them (apart from the dusting) to the point of wanting to keep at least one if and when we renovate the old girl.

More eye spy here.

The ceiling rose is exquisite and deserving of a sparkly light.

Funny how you can grew to love something that you can be so opposed to just for the fact you haven't bothered to get rid of it. The ceilings though are quite divine

We had chandeliers exactly like those in the first place we rented. I hated them - mainly because we lived in a modern unit with low ceilings and we used to bash our heads on them all the time! But they are perfect for old houses. Wish I had them now!
