a skill passed from mother to daughter


Like the proverbial plumber with the leaking taps, I don't often have time to knit for myself.

Luckily, the very person who taught me to knit does. Thanks Mum!

I wasnt sure what to say, the above comment covered my initial thoughts perfectly...I too send stuff to mum to knit... Good isnt it.(if only they'd buy the wool too!!!) ha ha

I understand completely. I bought a new pair of jeans about 2 months ago and have just given them to Mum to take up for me, because I just don't have time. While sh'e there I've asked her to knit me a scarf and jumper. Isn't that what retired Mum's are for?

They say the shoemaker's children go shoeless. In your case the knitter goes knit-less.
