lovely new wooliness

This lovely pile of hand dyed goodness has just found its way into the mountain of yarn that lives in what used to be our sitting room. These days its known as the wool and medical supplies sample room. The joys of running two businesses from home.

Katie at Wired For Fibre has dyed this gorgeous Nundle yarn for me and I couldn't be happier with it. Choose your poison - soft and subtle grey or shades of green.

Mum, wouldn't you just love to be knitting with this right now? Mum...? Are you there? No? Seems she's still avoiding me for fear of being asked to do more knitting.

I've also splashed out and invested in some Addi Turbos. After all the ravings about how good they are on Ravelry I had to check them out for myself. Well worth the dollars I say. What I'd really like is a set of Clicks, as shown below. The points snap into the cords so you can mix and match your cord length and needle size as you like.

At $175 a box I can't really justify them, especially as I'd lose a point down the back of the couch (or under a cinema seat) in no time.

Like you, I'm sure the back of my sofa is holding a lot of needles. I knit "in the round" using separate double pointed needles - are the circular ones a great improvement?

Go on, spoil yourself.

(And how come everything seems to find its way to the back of the couch? If ever I am low on cash, I *always* check both the back of the couches and Lyndon's money pocket in his work pants.

Oh those needles are on my wish list. I have a full set of every needle in the world, but yes, odds and they are all eaten by the sofa.

I have decided to crochet scarves and a giant granny square this winter in order to use up all my wool - have I told you this before?

It does not stop me lusting after this though!

Love that green colour!
Everytime I see those addi turbo sets I have to move away from the computer in I accidentally find myself buying them.

Love love love stainless steel needles. I think you should ask for a birthday present. Even an early one. Early ones are good because they are forgotten and then you get extra stuff on the real day.

well I think you deserve the needle set. I have a knitpicks set and adore them BUT I need more cords as once you have a couple of WIPs you run out of cords!

love that green!
