you'd think it was winter

cable knit beanie
So its like Mother Nature has flicked over the page on her calendar (I think she'd have an AFL Men for all Seasons calendar, the saucy minx) and realised that today is the first day of winter and accordingly sent down the wet stuff.

Man its cold. 10 degrees. WTF?

The boys have gone off to school looking like little Michelin Men in singlets, skivvies, jumpers, coats, hats, etc. I had to roll them out of the car. Not that I was getting out myself (the heater had just kicked in)- surely they know how to find their classrooms by now.

Every central heating duct in the house is being straddled by a clothes horse, except for the one in the hallway that I like to stand over to warm my nether regions on yet another trip between laundry and bedroom.
Its a good day for making soup and watching tellie. Dr Phil anyone?

Oh boy, I am wearing everything I can plus more. I think pumpkin soup and toast is in order. I have a trip to Footsgray later today. I think it might give me frostbite!

It's a little chilly by Syd-en-ey standards today. I've had to drag out my polar fleece vest. And put on the central heating (after which I promptly fell asleep while trying to hurredly finish Blossom's beanie for band-camp).

That 10 degrees has been my lot for the last couple of weeks now.

Although I am not complaining. I shouldn't live in the mountains if the cold bothers me. Which it doesn't.

I always think of the Michelin tire man when I see everyone all bundled up, too.

Stay warm.
